We are seeking an experienced Customs Broker Import Checklist Specialist with strong knowledge of customs documentation and import compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing import checklists using specialized software, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining adherence to customs regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage import checklists in customs software for various shipments.
Review and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and procedures.
Coordinate with clients, freight forwarders, CHA, and internal teams to obtain accurate shipment information.
Maintain up-to-date and organized records and databases of import shipments.
Monitor shipment progress and update relevant stakeholders.
Stay informed of customs laws, tariff classifications, and import/export policies.
Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies or customs queries. Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in customs brokerage or import documentation.
Strong knowledge of customs procedures, HS codes, and import regulations.
Proficiency in customs/import software and MS Office tools.
Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to handle multiple shipments and deadlines efficiently.
