As a Customer Engagement Specialist at our comprehensive pet care facility, you will be the welcoming face of our business, responsible for creating positive first impressions and building lasting relationships with pet owners. You'll handle client interactions, appointment scheduling, and ensure a smooth customer experience across our various services including clinic visits, grooming appointments, boarding reservations, and retail purchases.
Key Responsibilities:
Warmly greet clients and their pets upon arrival, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
Schedule appointments for veterinary services, grooming, day care, and boarding
Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries promptly and professionally
Process payments and handle basic accounting tasks
Maintain detailed client and pet records in our database system
Explain services, prices, and policies to clients
Follow up with clients about their pet's health and satisfaction with our services
Assist with retail sales in our pet store section
Coordinate with veterinary staff, groomers, and boarding attendants to ensure seamless service delivery
Manage basic social media engagement and respond to online reManaging appointments and scheduling.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency (email, calendar management, data entry)
Genuine love for animals and comfort around different pet species
Customer service orientation with a positive attitude
Ability to remain calm in busy environments and with anxious pets/owners
Basic math skills for handling payments and transactions
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous customer service experience
Experience in a veterinary, pet retail, or animal care setting
Knowledge of basic pet care and animal behavior
Familiarity with veterinary or appointment scheduling software
Experience with social media platforms for business
