We are seeking a self-driven and technically skilled systems engineer to join Nokia's India Cloud & Enterprise networking team, focusing on delivering innovative networking solutions across Data Centers, Cloud Infrastructure, Campus Networks, and Enterprise WAN domains, while leading solution design and engaging customers on next-generation technologies including Data Center Fabric, SDN, automation, and cloud-native networking.
Responsibilities:

  • Trusted Technical Advisor: Act as a strategic consultant and subject matter expert for Data Center Networking, Cloud DC architecture, automation, and security solutions across various industries, including cloud providers and enterprises.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and competitive analyses to understand customer requirements and define solution blueprints aligned with their business objectives.
  • Solution Design & Positioning: Design and advocate for Nokia's offerings, such as SR Linux, Event Driven Automation, and Network Services Platform (NSP), to deliver secure and automated data center and WAN solutions.
  • Pre-Sales Leadership: Manage pre-sales activities, including crafting proposals, delivering solution presentations, conducting Proof of Concepts (PoCs), responding to RFPs, and developing detailed Bills of Materials (BoMs).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product Line Managers, Customer Engineering, and Channel/Services teams to ensure cohesive strategies and drive customer success.
  • Technical Enablement: Educate partners and internal sales teams on Nokia's product advantages and unique selling propositions to enhance market understanding and adoption.
  • Industry Representation: Represent Nokia at industry events, public forums, and strategic customer briefings, showcasing thought leadership and technical expertise.
  • Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies in Data Center Networking, SDN, automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform), cloud-native infrastructures (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenStack), and security architectures to inform solution development and innovation.
Qualifications:
You Have:
  • Extensive Networking Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, pre-sales, systems engineering, or consulting roles within enterprise or service provider environments.
  • Data Center Networking Expertise: Proficient in designing and implementing IP Clos (EVPN/VXLAN) architectures, BGP/MPLS protocols, and intent-based automation for scalable and efficient data center networks.
  • SDN & Network Automation Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) overlays and automation tools such as Ansible, Python, GitOps, Terraform, or Netconf/YANG to streamline network operations.
  • Cloud-Native Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with virtualization platforms and cloud infrastructures, including Kubernetes, OpenStack, container networking (CNI plugins), and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV).
  • Security Architecture Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of cloud and data center security architectures, including micro-segmentation, secure onboarding processes, and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Pre-Sales and Solution Design Experience: Proven track record in leading pre-sales activities, including conducting technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, crafting proposals, delivering solution presentations, and responding to RFPs.
It would be nice if you also have:
  • Industry Certifications: Advanced certifications such as Nokia NRS I/II, SRA, CCIE, or JNCIE, which validate expertise in networking and align with industry standards.
  • Agile and DevOps Familiarity: Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments and utilizing modern CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and management.
