Summary: As an Application Developer, you will engage in the design, construction, and configuration of applications tailored to fulfill specific business processes and application requirements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to understand project needs, developing application features, and ensuring that the solutions align with organizational goals. You will also participate in testing and debugging processes to enhance application performance and user experience, while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation in application development. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Develop and maintain applications using Cobol Mainframe. - Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project delivery. - Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality. - Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in application development. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe, IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database, PL/I (Programming Language) - Strong understanding of database management systems. - Experience in developing and maintaining applications in a mainframe environment. - Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies. - Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe. - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
