Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that the applications meet the required specifications and standards. You will engage in discussions to understand project requirements, provide insights, and guide the development process. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring that they align with the overall project goals and objectives. Your role will also include mentoring team members and facilitating communication between stakeholders to foster a productive work environment. Roles & Responsibilities: o Design high quality capabilities for the Sky Data Platform using technical architectures to present to a review board (e.g. python library for data ingestion service, orchestration tool, automated deployment pipeline) o Produce proof of concepts as directed by Lead Platform Architect o Design with security, scalability and availability in mind engaging with client SME and respecting Sky Data standards o Align operating processes with the technical solution o Ensure the design specified adhere and satisfy user needs and proactively engage with stakeholder for clarification o Enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced results-oriented environment, and able to adapt quickly to evolving needs o Excellent attention to detail and pro-active in identifying and resolving blockers o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to draft clear effective technical documentation o Highly organized and passionate about delivering consistently to a very high level of quality Professional & Technical Skills: o Strong technologist with 4-6 years+ hands-on cloud platform solution delivery in analytics and/or data engineering o Strong experience with the Google stack (Orchestration, DevOps, Pipelines, storage, compute) o Working knowledge of one or more programming language (e.g., Python, PySpark (SQL API), PowerShell) o Familiarity with modern DevOps tooling, methodology and processes Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform Architecture. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
