Summary: We are seeking a Tester to support the API development workstream. The role requires strong software testing experience, hands-on expertise in REST API testing, and familiarity with Agile SDLC practices. The tester will ensure quality, reliability, and compliance of API-based solutions through structured testing approaches and automation. Roles & Responsibilities: o Define and execute test strategies, test approaches, and test plans for API-based solutions. o Create and maintain test cases, test data, and execute functional, integration, and system testing. o Perform thorough testing of REST APIs and validate request/response behavior. o Validate API integrations and backend workflows supporting the CDP platform. o Develop and execute automated API test scripts using Jest or similar frameworks. o Track, document, and manage defects using standard defect management tools. o Generate testing metrics and reports for management and stakeholder review. o Work closely with development teams to analyze defects and validate fixes. o Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. o Ensure adherence to quality, security, and compliance standards. Professional & Technical Skills: o Strong software testing experience. o Hands-on experience in API development and testing. o Expertise in REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus, but not mandatory). o Experience with Jest for Node.js testing and API test automation. o Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Node.js. o Experience working in Agile delivery environments. o Exposure to AWS cloud technologies. o AI prompting knowledge. o API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno. o Experience with Azure DevOps. o Knowledge of data technologies such as PostgreSQL and GCP Big Query. Additional Information: o The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in API Testing. o We don't have location constraints. o A 15-year full-time education is required.
