Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, code, and enhance various components across systems or applications. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions, while also addressing any challenges that arise during the development process. Your role will require a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in software development practices. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. - Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to increase efficiency. Professional & Technical Skills: Core Requirements: Essential Skill: Advanced SQL Logic Development - Expertise in designing and implementing complex SQL queries, and database functions with strong analytical problem-solving capabilities Essential Skill: SQL Performance Optimization - Proven ability to analyze, tune, and optimize SQL queries for maximum performance, and execution plan analysis Essential Skill: Requirements-to-SQL Translation - Demonstrated capability to interpret business requirements and mapping specifications to construct efficient, scalable SQL solutions Preferred Technical Competencies: Python/PySpark programming experience for data processing and ETL pipeline development Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform experience, particularly with data services Comprehensive knowledge of database architecture, normalization, and performance tuning methodologies Hands-on experience with Agile development frameworks and iterative project delivery Proficiency with Git version control systems and collaborative development workflows Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of professional experience with SQL/PL-SQL development, AWS cloud services, and Python/PySpark programming Bachelor's degree or equivalent 15-year full-time education requirement Position located in Bengaluru office with potential for hybrid work arrangements Key Focus Areas: This Data Engineer role prioritizes candidates with exceptional SQL logic building capabilities, emphasizing the ability to transform complex data requirements into optimized, maintainable database solutions that support enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives.
