Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop and configure software systems, either end-to-end or for specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your typical day will involve applying your knowledge of various technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support clients and projects, ensuring that software solutions meet the required specifications and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall success of the software development process. Roles & Responsibilities: -Define platform architecture for Android Framework, HALs, and system services. -Drive technical strategy, design decisions, and platform roadmaps. -Lead complex debugging across multi-layered Android systems. -Guide teams through AOSP customization, feature integration, and bring-up. -Own performance, security, stability, and compliance goals for infotainment platforms. -Mentor developers and act as the technical escalation point. Professional & Technical Skills: -Deep expertise in Android Framework internals, native services, Boot Process, HALs and Migration to New Android Versions. -Strong C++ (modern), Java/Kotlin, and Android/Linux system design experience. -Expertise in Binder IPC (AIDL/HIDL), system architecture, memory/perf tuning. -Experience with AAOS, vehicle HAL, vendor partitions, and Treble. -Proven leadership in large-scale AOSP/automotive programs. Good to have: -Experience with Google certification (xTS), security hardening, or BSP areas. -Prior work with OEM/Tier-1 automotive infotainment platforms. -Networking knowledge to debug issues. -Proficient in multi-threaded programming and middleware solution development in the Android environment. -Communication protocol SomeIP, CAN. -Should have good Knowledge in SELinux Policy. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 10-15 plus years of experience - Degree in Computer Science/Information Science
