Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic work environment where you will analyze, design, code, and test various components of application code across multiple clients. Your day will involve collaborating with team members to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions, while also performing maintenance and enhancements to existing applications. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality code and contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in, ensuring that client requirements are met effectively and efficiently. Roles & Responsibilities: -Develop and customize Android Framework components and system services. -Implement and integrate HAL modules, AIDL/HIDL interfaces, and middleware. -Analyze system issues using logs (logcat, dmesg, dumpsys, systrace) and propose fixes. -Work with BSP, hardware, and system teams to enable new platform capabilities. -Support platform bring-up, debugging, and feature integration on automotive hardware. -Participate in AOSP builds, code reviews, and version control workflows (Git/Gerrit). Professional & Technical Skills: -Strong understanding of Android architecture (Framework, Native, HAL, Kernel interactions). -Proficiency in C++ (11/14/17) and Java/Kotlin. -Hands-on experience with AIDL/HIDL, Binder IPC, system services. -Good debugging skills using Android logs, traces, and system tools. -Experience in Linux fundamentals, shell scripting, and build systems. -Familiarity with AOSP/AAOS source structure and Android permissions/SELinux basics. Good To Have: -Exposure to automotive infotainment, AAOS, Vehicle HAL, or IVI systems. -Knowledge of performance profiling tools and debugging methodologies. -Knowledge on OO design patterns -Networking knowledge to debug issues. -Should have good Knowledge in SELinux Policy. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 TO 7 years of experience - Degree in Computer Science/Information Science
