Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development and configuration of software systems, either managing the entire process or focusing on specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your day will involve applying your knowledge of various technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to effectively support clients and projects, ensuring that the software solutions meet the required specifications and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and implement innovative solutions, contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in. Roles & Responsibilities: -Run and maintain Google xTS test suites for Android/AAOS. -Analyze failures using logs (logcat, dmesg, bugreports) and coordinate fixes with platform/HAL teams. -Ensure CDD, GAS, and Treble compliance. -Automate testing using Tradefed, shell scripts, and Python. -Track certification progress and support OEM/Tier-1 release milestones. Professional & Technical Skills: -Strong understanding of Android system architecture, AOSP, AAOS. -Hands-on with CTS/VTS/ATS/STS and Tradefed. -Proficiency with ADB, Fastboot, shell, and Python. -Good debugging skills for Android platform logs. -Knowledge of HALs, vendor partition, and Treble concepts. Good to have: -Understanding of vehicle integration topics such as boot-time optimization, connectivity, sensors, and power modes. -Knowledge of Jenkins or CI-based automation for certification pipelines. Additional Information: -6+ years in Android system testing, AOSP/AAOS validation, or certification -Degree in Computer Science/Information Science.
