Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, utilizing modern frameworks and agile practices to create scalable and high-performing solutions that meet specific business needs. You will engage in problem-solving discussions, ensuring that the software you develop aligns with the overall project goals and enhances user experience. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Assist in the documentation of software specifications and design. - Engage in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices. Professional & Technical Skills: - - Required sound knowledge progress 4GL concepts - Basic knowledge of MFGPro and QAD application - Experience of application-level support, delivering solutions for incident resolution - Experience of Review, analyze, design, and assist in modifying business application systems including testing, debugging, and deployment - Understand business and technical requirements; develop, document, and implement solution designs - Able to work on Defect Resolution, New developments and change requests. - Develop utility / datafix for functional requirements - Experience in Database dump/load and Database related issue troubleshooting - Experience in Database Monitoring and performance/parameter tuning - Experience in Progress Database backup and restoration strategy - Experience in LINUX/UNIX based OS & shell/bash scripting Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in OpenEdge ABL. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
