Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to gather requirements, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects. You will also engage in problem-solving activities, providing guidance and support to your team members while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions that meet client needs. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Design, develop, and support our custom Java-based Chaos Engineering tool - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Strong collaborator across Dev, SRE, Platform, and Security teams - Build production-ready modules, annotations, dashboards, and observability hooks - Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities. - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and prototyping with speed - Partner with application teams across the bank to enable adoption - Mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Java Full Stack Development. - Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Java (JDK 17+) and Spring Boot 3.x - Experience with back-end frameworks like Spring or Hibernate. - Familiarity with database management systems, CI/CD with GitLab, Maven, Artifactory, including SQL and NoSQL databases. - Ability to implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. - familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, structured logging, correlation IDs - Experience with feature flag tooling (e.g. Unleash or GitLab FF) - Security integration: Vault, safe secrets handling - Drive feature-flag alternatives and integration with CI/CD pipelines Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development. - This position is based at our Gurugram office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
