Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing modern frameworks, and applying agile practices to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions that meet specific business needs. You will engage in problem-solving and innovation to ensure that the software solutions are tailored effectively to the requirements of the organization. A highly skilled engineer with 5 years of experience in Java-based back-end development, cloud migration, and Agile practices. Proficient in developing secure and efficient applications, ensuring high performance, and delivering innovative solutions. Adept at working with databases and managing backend services, with a strong focus on clean code and testing. Roles & Responsibilities: Back-End Development: - Design and implement RESTful APIs and CRUD operations using Spring Boot. - Develop and maintain data access layers using Spring Data JPA and Hibernate. - Write unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito for code quality assurance. - Utilizing Java's collection framework to retrieve, manipulate, and store data from web services to databases. - Version Control and Deployment: - Proficient in GIT for version control and source code management. - Good experience on cloud migration projects, with an understanding of AWS and cloud fundamentals. Security: - Implement Spring Security features such as JWT and OAuth2 for secure authentication and authorization. - Manage server-side validations and client logic using Java Servlets and Filters. Database Management: - Extensive experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB. - Develop backend logic for data access and processing using Oracle DB and JDBC. Automation and Tools: - Work with Java Mail API for automated communication solutions. - Develop custom tools to enhance application functionality and performance. Agile & Collaboration: - Good knowledge in Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings. - Team player and collaborative who can work closely with front-end teams to ensure seamless API integration and functionality. - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to enhance code quality. Professional & Technical Skills: - Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate - RESTful APIs, CRUD operations - JUnit, Mockito - Java Collection Framework - GIT, AWS fundamentals - Spring Security, JWT, OAuth2, Java Servlets and Filters - Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, JDBC - Java Mail API - Agile/Scrum methodologies - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Spring Boot. - Strong understanding of RESTful web services and microservices architecture. - Experience with database technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. - Familiarity with front-end technologies like Angular or React. - Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Spring Boot. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
