Position: Customs Coordinator
Location:
Mohali
On-Call Requirement:
Weeknights & weekends as required.
What You'll Do
Coordinate customs clearance for ocean, air, ground, and courier freight (LVS).
Prepare EDI and manual release requests across various modes of transport.
Ensure all documentation complies with Canadian customs laws and regulations.
Complete and verify customs entries to avoid penalties.
Classify shipments using HS codes and ensure accurate categorization.
Advise clients on taxes, tariffs, duties, and resolve over/under-payment discrepancies.
Monitor shipments for compliance and timely clearance.
Provide proactive internal & external customer service for all customs-related inquiries.
Collect all necessary documents to facilitate smooth and timely clearance.
Ensure accurate and timely customs invoicing; coordinate with Admin to resolve discrepancies.
Review files and perform B2 corrections in CARM.
Manage compliance for shipments regulated by PGAs.
Audit CAD and commercial documents for accuracY
Be available after hours for customs clearance assistance.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Strong understanding of Canadian tariffs, trade laws, and customs regulations.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in time-sensitive situations.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.
Ability to travel within the local region (up to 5%).
Availability for on-call rotation (weeknights/weekends).
Must be able to work
on-site
at Apex Call Center Ltd. (Mohali) on scheduled days.
