Lead the design and periodic review of the school's curriculum to ensure both vertical and horizontal alignment.
Ensure the curriculum meets the standards of relevant educational frameworks (IB, national, or international curricula).
Integrate 21st-century skills, inquiry-based learning, and interdisciplinary approaches into teaching and learning.
Develop and maintain curriculum maps, scope and sequence documents, and unit plans across all subject areas.
2. Implementation & Evaluation
Monitor curriculum implementation in classrooms through lesson observations, teacher feedback, and assessment analysis.
Establish systems for regular curriculum review informed by data, research, and global educational trends.
Analyze student performance data to guide curriculum improvements and instructional practices.
Take classroom sessions as needed to model best practices, support teaching implementation, and stay connected with student learning.
3. Teacher Support & Training
Support faculty in adopting effective teaching strategies, differentiated instruction, and formative assessment methods.
Plan and deliver ongoing professional development on curriculum planning, assessment design, and IB teaching approaches.
Mentor and coach subject heads and classroom teachers to strengthen curriculum implementation and instructional quality.
4. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure curriculum design aligns with school policies, accreditation standards, and (if applicable) IB (PYP, MYP, DP) programme requirements.
5. Collaboration & Leadership
Work collaboratively with Heads of Department, IB Coordinators, and the Academic Director to maintain curriculum coherence and innovation.
Participate in school-wide strategic planning related to curriculum development and academic excellence.
Facilitate clear and effective communication on curriculum matters with parents, school boards, and external education bodies.
