Job Overview:

TalentGum is seeking a creative and experienced

Guitar Curriculum Developer

to design engaging, age-appropriate, and structured lesson plans for online guitar courses. The curriculum will cater primarily to

children aged 6-14

, focusing on foundational skills, interactive learning, and progressive skill-building.

Responsibilities:

Design structured guitar lesson plans for beginner to intermediate levels, tailored for young learners. Develop engaging course materials including exercises, chord charts, interactive games, and fun music assignments. Collaborate with instructors and content creators to ensure seamless delivery of the curriculum in live online classes. Integrate musical theory and guitar techniques in a child-friendly and easy-to-understand manner. Create lesson flow documents, weekly learning goals, and assessments that track student progress. Ensure all curriculum elements are interactive, visually engaging, and aligned with TalentGum's teaching philosophy. Update and iterate the curriculum based on feedback from students, parents, and instructors.

Requirements:

Proven experience teaching guitar to children (online teaching experience is a plus). Strong understanding of guitar pedagogy and music theory fundamentals. Experience designing or delivering music curriculum, especially for kids. Ability to create child-centric, fun, and visually engaging learning content. Proficiency with basic multimedia tools and platforms (Google Slides, Canva, Noteflight, MuseScore, etc.). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Degree or certification in Music, Music Education, or equivalent experience preferred.
