About NavGurukul: NavGurukul is a not-for-profit founded in 2016 and is on a mission to create access to aspirational careers for students from marginalized communities. We are committed to working on profound transformation for our students so they can hold the same jobs and live the life of similar possibilities as people from the top of the pyramid assume. We imagine an equitable higher education alternative where students learn the right skills, mindsets, and the ability to learn on their own to thrive in the world. What we do: NavGurukul\'s flagship Residential program works with learners from underserved communities to help them become programmers and gives them a guaranteed job once they finish the program. Currently, we are training 1000+ students in our fully funded seven residential centers across various states in India. Six of our seven campuses have only girl students. The focus on gender is a conscious choice, as inclusion is one of the core principles guiding our choices and focus areas. The residential program is open for students who have finished just 10th grade and are 17 years of age. We are expanding our offering to digital careers other than programming, such as design and management. So far, we have placed around 600+ students with software jobs in the tech industry with various IT giants and product startups. Our campuses are self-governed spaces that the students manage through elected student bodies. The learning on NavGurukul campuses is guided by self-paced pedagogy with a strong focus on peer learning . Besides the Residential program, we have two more programs : Meraki and Code India Fellowship. Through Meraki , we work with students from government schools and ITIs through an online offering to help students learn basic English, touch typing, and programming. Code India Fellowship works with young freshers from India\'s top colleges to transform learning outcomes in government high schools and ITIs and ensure the employability of students graduating from these programs. About Meraki Team at NavGurukul : Meraki, as an organization, is part of NavGurukul Foundation for Social Welfare. It started in 2020 to bring low-cost online tech education to students from low-income families across India. NavGurukul already runs successful campus programs across India, and Meraki is an extension of that effort. Meraki is an online learning platform, founded and developed by Navgurukul. Meraki\'s vision is to build and sustain an android application and web one, focused on making programming and digital skills accessible to learners from different communities, through a smartphone or through a computer. About the role: The Curriculum Lead directs curriculum development to ensure top-notch learning experiences in educational programs. Roles and responsibilities: Developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum for the organization, ensuring that it is aligned with the organization\'s goals, objectives, and standards. Collaborating with instructional designers and subject matter experts to create engaging, effective, and interactive learning experiences for students. Ensuring that the curriculum is current, relevant, and meets the needs of our students and stakeholders. Managing the curriculum development process, including conducting needs assessments, developing learning objectives, creating course outlines, and designing assessments. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum and making improvements as necessary. Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners and stakeholders to enhance the organization\'s educational offerings. Ensuring that the curriculum meets all regulatory and accreditation requirements. Developing and managing the budget for curriculum development and implementation. Providing leadership and guidance to curriculum development teams. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in curriculum development. Working with the implementation and technical team to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of the curriculum. Train and mentor instructors in delivering the Scratch curriculum, providing ongoing support and guidance. Create and deliver professional development sessions to enhance the skills of our teaching staff. Evaluate instructor performance and provide constructive feedback. Design and lead the teacher training programs for the various partners Apply if you have: Proven experience in developing and implementing curriculum for educational institutions or training programs. Proficiency in leading the entire curriculum development process, including conducting needs assessments, defining learning objectives, creating course outlines, and designing assessments for scratch Knowledge in Scratch programming language At least 5-6 years of relevant work experience Alignment with NavGurukul\'s vision and values. Passion for social impact and education equity Master\'s Degree in any relevant field with prior experience in the social development sector Demonstrated Team management experience with clear outcomes achieved along with a team Willingness to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders Curiosity and motivation to expand your own knowledge and competence Problem-solving, mediation, crisis intervention, and negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and leadership abilities Location: Remote with 50 % Travel Compensation & Culture: NavGurukul\'s salaries are at par with most not-for-profits in the country.
