POSITION Curator of the India Cultural Center

CONTRACT Full-time The American School of Bombay seeks a dynamic and visionary Curator to lead the launch and management of our new India Cultural Center (ICC). The ICC has been visioned as a vibrant hub of artistic, educational, and community-focused activities that will bridge with and celebrate our incredible host country. The Curator will be pivotal in shaping the center\'s strategic direction, overseeing its operations, and fostering an environment that promotes cultural engagement, creativity, and inclusivity. ASB educators and staff recognize the value of having a diverse and inclusive school community and work to ensure that all community members are seen, heard, and valued. They engage in continuous learning and embrace the school\'s mission. Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: \xe2\x97\x8f Set clear goals and objectives for the center\'s growth, programming, and community impact.
\xe2\x97\x8f Stay abreast of cultural trends and best practices to ensure the center remains innovative and relevant. Program Development and Curation:
\xe2\x97\x8f Curate and oversee diverse cultural and artistic programs, exhibitions, workshops, performances, and events catering to various interests and demographics in India.
\xe2\x97\x8f Collaborate with local and international artists, educators, performers, and cultural institutions to bring engaging and thought-provoking content to the center.
\xe2\x97\x8f Liaise with ASB\'s Community and Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator to ensure alignment to and generate service opportunities for its program.
\xe2\x97\x8f Foster an environment that encourages experimentation, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Community:
\xe2\x97\x8f Serve as the face of the Cultural Center and cultivate strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, sponsors, and partners.
\xe2\x97\x8f Develop outreach strategies to ensure the center\'s programs are accessible and inclusive to all community members.
\xe2\x97\x8f Initiate and collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other institutions to expand the center\'s reach and impact. Operations and Management:
\xe2\x97\x8f Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure the center\'s sustainability.
\xe2\x97\x8f Liaise with ASB\'s Facilities and Operations teams to ensure the physical space is well-maintained and conducive to the center\'s activities. \xe2\x80\x94 Page 2 \xe2\x80\x94 Marketing and Promotion:
\xe2\x97\x8f Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the center\'s programs and events.
\xe2\x97\x8f Utilize various communication channels to increase the center\'s visibility and attract diverse audiences. Advocacy and Fundraising:
\xe2\x97\x8f Advocate for the value of arts and culture within the community and beyond, highlighting the center\'s role in enriching lives and fostering dialogue.
\xe2\x97\x8f Identify and pursue funding opportunities, grants, sponsorships, and donations to support the center\'s initiatives and growth. The Curator of the India Cultural Center will work across two campuses. The Ideal Candidate Will Have
\xe2\x97\x8f A bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in arts, cultural management, arts administration, or a related field.
\xe2\x97\x8f Strong passion for and knowledge of various art forms, artistic expressions, and their societal role.
\xe2\x97\x8f Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse stakeholders.
\xe2\x97\x8f Strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
\xe2\x97\x8f Experience in budget management and financial oversight. Preferred
\xe2\x97\x8f Proven experience in a leadership role within a cultural institution, arts organization, or similar setting.
\xe2\x97\x8f Proficiency in utilizing technology and digital platforms for marketing and engagement. Student Safeguarding:
