A Staff Nurse in a CTVS (Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery) Scrub Nurse / ICU Nurse provides critical care for patients recovering from major heart/vascular surgeries, involving intensive monitoring of vitals, ECGs, ventilators, drains, managing inotropes/vasopressors, responding to emergencies like arrhythmias/bleeding, maintaining sterile technique, educating families, and meticulous documentation, requiring strong skills in advanced cardiac care, complex equipment, and teamwork with surgeons/intensivists for post-op recovery.
As a scrub nurse in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) unit, you will be responsible for assisting in CTVS procedures, ensuring sterile techniques, and providing patient care before and after surgery.
