Decontaminate, clean, sterilize, and pack surgical instruments and medical devices following hospital protocols.
Operate and monitor autoclaves, sterilizers, washers, and other CSSD equipment.
Inspect instruments for damage, cleanliness, and function before and after sterilization.
Maintain strict aseptic and infection control standards throughout the sterilization process.
Properly label and store sterilized instruments for use in operating rooms and other clinical areas.
Document sterilization cycles, maintenance logs, and quality control checks accurately.
Assist in inventory management of CSSD supplies, consumables, and equipment.
Coordinate with surgical teams and nursing staff for instrument sets and urgent requirements.
Participate in regular CSSD audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Follow NABH and hospital infection control policies rigorously.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of CSSD area, equipment, and workstations.
Report equipment malfunctions or shortages to supervisors promptly.
Attend ongoing training on sterilization technologies and infection control updates.
Respond to emergency sterilization requests during surgical procedures.
Demonstrate professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail in all tasks.
