Job Description

Key responsibilities:

Wash, disinfect, and decontaminate used surgical instruments and medical devices to remove all forms of microbial life. Operate and monitor sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ETO sterilizers, and plasma sterilization units to ensure items are properly sterilized. Inspect instruments for damage, assemble them into sets, and prepare them for sterilization according to established protocols. Package sterilized items, apply proper labels, and store them in designated areas to maintain sterility. Track inventory, restock supplies, and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions. Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all sterilization cycles, quality checks, and equipment maintenance.
