Role - Associate Director

Experience - 8 to 12 years

The position is one of a leadership role in industry research (IR) covering BFSI, real estate, and infrastructure domain. Candidates with strong experience of driving and leading research and consulting engagements in the areas of strategy and business planning, credit, risk or operations with or within banks, housing finance companies (HFCs) and non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) would be preferred.

Job requirements:

The candidate shall be well versed with the BFSI, real estate and infrastructure segments and shall have demonstrated experience of working with clients to facilitate business decisions, drive strategy, and implement transformation. The candidate shall be responsible for scaling up business in the sectors as well as client and project management.

Sector and business related:

- Ability to promptly assess sector level changes and trends and understanding of inter-linkages with the macro economy

- Ability to predict sector developments and foresee Flair to get market intelligence and the skill to deliver business and commercial insights to clients changes/issues impacting the industry

Ability to execute and manage assignments across a range of areas including:

- Business strategy and planning

- Market assessment and opportunity identification

- Business/geographical expansion

- Commercial due diligence

- Business plan feasibility

- Competition benchmarking

- Credit assessment

- Implementation of strategy

- Connect with market participants, as required, for obtaining critical information

- Author and publish articles to showcase thought-leadership and build franchise for the business and represent the business in external forums

- Deliver presentations to clients and internal committees

Business Development:

- Scale up the industry research business in BFSI, real estate and infrastructure by actively engaging with clients and participating in business development

- Play an active role in achieving quantitative and qualitative targets laid down for the business

- Focus on retaining clients for future through building relationship and assuring quality & timely delivery of assignments

- Making exceptional proposals/pitches along with a strong ability to interpret client needs

Experience:

Work experience of at least 10 years in the Indian BFSI, real estate and infrastructure domain, of which at least 6 years should be in leading a team of 8 to 10 members wherein the candidate should have worked on and be centrally involved in project management and driving research and consulting engagements with or within banks, HFCs, NBFCs and corporates

Qualification: MBA or CA

Skills:

- Strong expertise and knowledge of the BFSI, real estate and infrastructure sectors in India

- Ability to drive business development and acquisition efforts in the sector

- Experience in managing and executing projects, directly dealing with clients along with relevant experience in team management

- Ability to think out of the box and come out with innovative solutions/ideas to complex challenges

- Ability to structure and write high-quality reports and make presentations

- Ability to structure excellent proposals to obtain business

- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills

- Positive attitude and ability to work across teams within tight deadlines
