Leveraged Portfolio Group Analytics - Portfolio Manager The Global Leveraged Portfolio Group Credit Team (\'LPG\') within Institutional Credit Management (\'ICM\') is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join its Analytics team.The Team Leads are responsible for leading and managing a best-in-class Leveraged Lending underwriting team with a goal of materially enhancing Citi\'s end-to-end Leveraged Lending credit monitoring process. This will be achieved through a strong partnership with LPG Credit, Risk, and Banking. The Director manage a large team to oversee the credit monitoring for Citi\'s global Leveraged Finance Portfolio. They will also support LPG\'s underwriters in Citi\'s credit approval and origination process for leveraged finance transactions, assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets. The Director is a senior level professional that leads and drives a best-in-class Leveraged Lending Underwriting with a goal of materially enhancing Citi\'s end-to-end Leveraged Lending credit management process through early problem recognition and timely response to credit challenges across the Leveraged Finance portfolio. Director Role and Responsibilities: Accountability for ensuring best in class credit risk analysis of the Leveraged Finance Portfolio ensuring consistencies with industry leading practices and compliance with all internal policies, standards, & procedures, and all related regulatory expectations. Continuous engagement with LPG Credit in NAM and EMEA to understand any concerns regarding execution of risk analysis and/or emerging risks which will need to be addressed by the team Manage timelines and uphold a high standard of quality and consistency across the entire portfolio Coordinate with LPG Underwriters as appropriate to address and escalate emerging risk concerns and to share best practices Ensure ongoing and timely feedback and coaching of Team Leaders and other site heads of other facilities in the region as applicable to sustain a strong credit culture and an unwavering commitment to excellence in analysis and execution Partner with regional and industry stakeholders in ICM, Banking and Independent Risk in the design of credit assessment and monitoring standards for applicable portfolios Attract, develop, and retain top quality staff including as regards active engagement with regional on-campus recruiting efforts to ensure a robust pipeline of talent Support Leveraged Portfolio Group on internal projects and initiatives Knowledge/Experience: Demonstrable financial services experience including 10+ years of credit experience in banking or credit risk management, specifically in Leveraged Lending Fully conversant in credit policy matters Ability to work at senior levels and build constructive and effective relationships with peers Ability to recognize emerging risks Skills/Competencies: Strategic orientation to ensure the LPG continues to be positioned as a thoughtful and proactive partner to BCMA and Independent Risk Management on driving best practices in risk analysis to support safety and soundness across the Leveraged Lending portfolio Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence with and without direct authority Demonstrated success as a manager including a track record of building high performing teams Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate horizon issues Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority Education: BA/BSc or higher degree in Business (MBA), Finance or any other related subject Job Family Group: Risk Management Job Family: Credit Decisions Time Type: Full time Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
