The Content Strategist will be responsible for planning, structuring, and guiding all brand content across platforms. This role bridges business goals, marketing strategy, and creative execution.
You will work closely with the Content Creator, Software Developer, and Marketing team to ensure content drives awareness, engagement, and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Planning
Develop monthly and quarterly content plans aligned with business goals
Define content themes, campaigns, and narratives
Ensure consistency of brand voice across all platforms
Translate marketing objectives into clear content briefs
2. Platform Strategy
Define what content goes where (Instagram, website, email, ads, blogs)
Decide formats: photos, videos, reels, ads, long-form, short-form
Avoid random posting; every piece must have intent
3. Collaboration & Direction
Work with the Content Creator to guide visuals and execution
Coordinate with the Software Developer on landing pages, CRO content, and email flows
Provide clear briefs instead of last-minute instructions
4. Performance & Iteration
Track content performance (reach, engagement, conversions)
Identify what is working and what is not
Improve content strategy based on data, not assumptions
5. Brand & Customer Understanding
Deeply understand Outback's customer, product, and positioning
Ensure content speaks to customer needs, concerns, and aspirations
Maintain a professional, premium, and authentic brand tone
What This Role Is Not
Not just posting on social media
Not only writing captions
Not a graphic designer or photographer role
Not trend-chasing without business relevance
Required Skills & Traits
Strong understanding of content strategy (not just creation)
Ability to think in systems, not isolated posts
Clear communication and planning skills
Commercial thinking: understands that content supports revenue
Organized, structured, and accountable
Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced team
Preferred Experience
Experience with content planning for D2C or lifestyle brands
Familiarity with social media, ads, email content, and websites
Ability to interpret performance metrics and improve strategy
