Job Description

Duties:

1.

Analyze and review patient medical records and clinical documentation

2.

Accurately assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes based on CMS rules and standards

3.

Ensure correct application of risk adjustment models (such as HCC, CDPS, etc.)

4.

Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any ambiguous documentation

5.

Adhere strictly to coding regulations set by CMS and AAPC

Requirements:

1.

CRC certification from AAPC is required

2.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in risk adjustment coding is preferred

3

.Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM coding and risk adjustment methodologies

4

.Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
