At Quest Global, it's not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place--to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.
Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Design Engineer Will be responsible for translating high-level system requirements into
detailed LV schematics for HVDC control and protection systems, including transformers Protection
Cubicle, switchgear, Marshalling, distribution Board, AC Yard , Ac protection , Control & monitoring
Cubicle Control & Protection panels
Utilize Engineering Base software to design electrical control and protection cubicles electrical
schematics, including elementary diagrams, panel layouts, general arrangement drawings (GA),
terminal block diagrams, and wiring diagrams based on project requirements and specifications with
industry standards and client requirements.
Ensure all designs conform to project technical specifications, industry standards (e.g., IEC/ANSI), and
internal quality procedures. Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project goals and integrate
technical requirements into the cubicle design. Analyzing Protec on Relays (IEDs) used in HVDC substations (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE), & integrate
their specific configuration data into schematics. Perform thorough self-checking and peer reviews of schematics to ensure compliance with project
specifications, national/international standards (e.g., IEC 61850 principles), and safety regulations. Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and technical documentation for cubicle designs.
Develop comprehensive technical specifications for the cubicle's design and the materials used in its
construction Clear understanding on the different Electrical component & its usage to utilize in the schematics
Well aware of the latest Electrical materials in the market to utilize & optimize the design
Support the manufacturing and installation teams during the production and assembly phases.
We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.
We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace.
