Introduction: The Court Orders team is primarily responsible for the receipt, analysis, validation and investigative response to comply with legal court orders submitted by issuing authorities through the supply of information or the fulfilment of freezing and restraint orders. All members of the Court Orders team are expected to contribute to each of these areas to ensure that the Bank and PS&I remain compliant with all, legal, regulatory and internal policies and standards. The primary purpose for this role will be to receive, analyse and respond to court orders and other regulatory, judicial and legal documentation and log all requests and support provided on the Case Management System, that have been submitted by EU law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies. The role holder will also be required to support wider criminal disruption efforts by identifying emerging threats and links in the court orders requests and ongoing or emerging investigations within the Bank. The role holder will work to the highest levels of integrity acting at all times to protect the reputation of Barclays, its colleagues and its customers. What will you be doing Performance Management . Keep informed of and promote knowledge of best practice in Court Orders, Investigations management, from both internal and external sources (from regulatory, enforcement, and industry perspectives) . Support the TCB team as required in ensuring that the team\'s operational effectiveness is maintained Operational . Receive, assess, triage, log and respond to court orders and other regulatory, judicial and legal documentation submitted by global issuing authorities . Operate the Court Orders Case Management System ensuring that all cases are correctly documented and managed end to end in compliance with legal, regulatory and internal policies, procedures and processes . Work with other specialist teams across Barclays in order to collate all data that is subject to the Court Order to ensure that Barclays complies with said Court Order within judicial directed timescales . Carry out \'4eye\' checks with team colleagues to ensure that all information released is done so in line with global data privacy laws and regulations . Address and where appropriate escalate complaints, issues and problems to the Team Leader or relevant channel to achieve the best possible outcome for internal and external stakeholders, in line with Regulation and Barclays\' policy and best practice . Act as a subject matter expect to other areas of the Bank that may have received a Court Order directly from an issuing authority, outside of normal process . Promote and demonstrate strict adherence to security and confidentiality requirements and protocols in the processing and release of sensitive information. . Contribute to a supportive and proactive working culture by sharing knowledge and expertise with other team members and providing training to colleagues when necessary . Contribute to and where required, produce management information reports in order to drive operational improvements and / or to identify and mitigate threats directed at Barclays, our colleagues and our customers . Work closely with other Global Investigations, Financial Crime, Fraud and Legal Teams to support criminal identification and disruption efforts. Demonstrate excellent behaviours and positively embracing and contributing to the Criminal Disruption change program What we\'re looking for: Professional Experience . Proven experience in an operations role assessing and responding to legal and regulatory requests for information in compliance with legal, regulatory and internal policies and standards . Experience of managing and handling confidential information understanding the need for confidentiality in relation to sensitive information and requests for information . Proven experience of assessing and conducting investigations gained from a corporate, civilian law enforcement or military law enforcement role . Demonstrate ability to operate under pressure with demanding concurrent deliverables . Proven experience in undertaking direct stakeholder contact- via face-to-face meetings, phone calls and emails, maintaining excellent communication skills . Experience of banking and financial crime is preferred but not essential Technical expertise . Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and negotiate with all stakeholders . Clear and demonstrable understanding of the Court Order process and the legal requirements for responding to a Court Order . Clear and demonstrable understanding of global data privacy, data protection, confidentiality regulations . Expert knowledge of case management and why it is required from a judicial, regulatory and business perspective . Understanding of risk control, detection, prevention and mitigation practices . Computer literate with knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Windows . Experience using Investigations Case Management packages to an intermediate level or above Skills that will help you in the role: . Experience of investigations and clear decision making in a highly regulated control environment, whether that be from a corporate, civilian or military law enforcement background . Excellent time management skills: must manage workloads effectively to complete complex and high-priority tasks within target timescales . Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to engage and negotiate with stakeholders in a multinational and multicultural organisation .
