The Counsellor will be responsible for guiding prospective students regarding various paramedical courses, assisting them through the admission process, and providing ongoing academic and emotional support during their tenure at the institute. The role also involves liaising with parents, managing leads, and ensuring smooth communication between students and the administration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Counselling & Admissions
Counsel students and parents on available paramedical courses, eligibility criteria, career prospects, and admission procedures.
Handle walk-ins, phone, and online inquiries professionally and convert leads into admissions.
Maintain a record of all inquiries and follow-up regularly until closure.
Conduct campus tours and participate in admission drives, career fairs, and outreach programs.
2. Academic & Emotional Support
Provide guidance to students facing academic or personal challenges.
Facilitate orientation sessions and workshops on stress management, time management, and career planning.
Maintain confidentiality while addressing student issues.
3. Communication & Coordination
Coordinate with academic staff, placement officers, and administration for smooth student support.
Prepare regular reports on student counselling activities and admission progress.
Ensure timely updates of student information and follow-up actions.
4. Outreach & Branding Support
Assist in organizing seminars, school visits, and awareness programs about paramedical education.
Support the marketing team by sharing insights on student needs and feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field (preferred).
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in counselling, preferably in an educational or healthcare institution.
