Counselling & Wellness Teacher (Socio-Emotional Counselor) and Career Counselor.

Ivy International School, Shimla

is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our team in an integrated counselling role, supporting students' holistic development .

Role & Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will perform duties related to both socio-emotional wellness and career guidance for students .

Socio-Emotional Counseling

: Provide individual and group counseling, support students through emotional growth and stressors, and intervene during crises.

Career Guidance

: Guide students in exploring career options, interpreting aptitude assessments, assisting with college/university applications (India & global).

Collaboration

: Work closely with teachers and parents to address student needs and ensure a supportive learning environment.

Development

: Facilitate mental health and wellness programs for students and staff and maintain confidential student records.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

: A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Clinical/Counseling/Applied/Educational), OR a Master's in Social Work (Mental Health/Counseling), OR a Bachelor's/Master's in any subject with a Diploma in School Counseling/Child Guidance and Counseling.

Experience

: Prior relevant experience in a school setting is preferred, demonstrating competency in SEL delivery, crisis intervention, and mental health identification.

Skills

: Excellent

communication skills

(verbal and written) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.

Professional Development

: The appointed person must be willing to undergo 50 hours of capacity building programs (CBPs) preferred by the Board.

Salary & Benefits

Pay Scale

: ?15,000 - ?25,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience).

: Full-Time position.
