Markets and Securities Services (M&SS) Legal support all of Citi's global M&SS businesses as a single, unified department. Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai serve as hubs for various legal M&SS teams in APAC. The team provides legal advisory and documentation support for fixed income, currency, rates, derivatives, commodities, futures & clearing, prime finance, equities sales and trading businesses, credit and loan trading, structured products and solutions businesses.



As a member of the Rates, Currencies and Global Spread Products Legal team and working from Mumbai, India, the person is to assist with legal coverage of rates, currencies, credit and loans trading, asset financing / securitisation transactions and structured loans and products.

The person will report directly to a senior member of the Legal team for Rates and Currencies or Global Spread Products and will be expected to assist the team with their day-to-day functions, including legal and regulatory matters, business development, transactional and advisory work, documentation and participation in industry-based initiatives.

Requirements:

4 to 8 years of relevant work experience

Relevant experience in a law firm or financial institution

Law degree from a well-established university

Comprehensive knowledge of local, state and federal laws and practices

Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills

A strong team player who is confident, possesses initiative and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure.

Ability to work independently and interact with people of all levels and across regions

Education Level: LLB or JD
