Create mood boards, sketches, and design concepts
Select suitable fabrics, colors, accessories, and materials
Ensure costumes align with artistic vision and brand/style guidelines
Costume Management & Operations
Manage costume inventory, storage, and documentation
Maintain and organize costumes for reuse, repair, or alteration
Plan and manage costume budgets and expense tracking
Source and coordinate with vendors, tailors, and fabric suppliers
Schedule fittings, alterations, and final deliveries
Team Coordination
Guide and supervise assistant designers, tailors, and wardrobe staff
Assign tasks and monitor work timelines
Coordinate with production, event, and creative teams
Quality Control & Maintenance
Ensure high-quality finishing and detailing of costumes
Monitor costume handling during rehearsals and events
Arrange cleaning, repairs, and maintenance post-use
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of costume design, textiles, and fashion trends
Good leadership and management skills
Budget planning and vendor management experience
Time management and multitasking ability
Creativity with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in design tools (hand sketching / CAD / Adobe Illustrator is a plus)
Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Fashion Designing or related field preferred
Experience in costume design for films, theatre, events, or fashion houses
Knowledge of stitching, alterations, and garment construction
