Job Description

We are looking a Costing Merchandiser based in Noida, having 7+ years experience in apparel export houses and a salary Budget up to ₹55,000 per month.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing & Pricing

Prepare accurate and detailed cost sheets (BOM, material, labor, overheads) for new styles.

Collaborate with PD (Product Development), sampling, and production teams to estimate consumption and finalize costing.

Lead price negotiations with buyers--aligning costs to profitability and market competitiveness.

2. Product Development & Sample Coordination

Review and initiate development packs received from buyers.

Coordinate with internal PD and sampling teams to manage proto/sample development timeline and costing feedback loops.

3. Supply Chain & Sourcing

Identify and evaluate fabric/trims/accessories suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.

Prepare and manage accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), supplier quoting, and procurement timelines.

4. Merchandise Coordination & Follow-Up

Develop and monitor Time & Action (T&A) calendars for costing, sampling, production, and shipment stages.

Conduct regular follow-ups with internal teams and vendors to ensure adherence to schedules.

5. Buyer Communication & Order Execution

Interface with buyers for clarifications, approvals, and negotiation.

Participate in pre-production and final inspection visits at factories, ensuring product, quality, and costing compliance.

6. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain systematic costing files, development logs, and order trackers.

Prepare order status, cost variance, and shipment readiness reports for management.

7. Quality & Compliance Coordination

Ensure material and production compliance with buyer, environmental, and social requirements.

Support ramp-up of quality assurance processes tied to costing and production.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years of experience in apparel export merchandising, with strong costing expertise.

Proficiency in developing costing sheets--Woven, BOM, and overhead breakdowns.

Strong command over MS Office, especially Excel for costing models.

Hands-on experience with Time & Action planning, order tracking, and merchandising logistics.

Familiarity with export documentation, compliance norms, and quality controls.
