Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented

Costing & Estimation Executive

with strong knowledge of the

printing and packaging industry

. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, pricing, and quotations for printing and packaging jobs while ensuring profitability and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

job-wise cost estimates

for printing and packaging products such as cartons, labels, flexible packaging, leaflets, brochures, and other commercial print items. Analyze

raw material costs

including paper/board, ink, plates, chemicals, lamination, foils, adhesives, and consumables. Calculate

machine costs

, including setup time, running cost, wastage, power consumption, and depreciation. Estimate

pre-press, press, and post-press

operations such as CTP, printing, lamination, UV, varnish, die-cutting, folding, gluing, and binding. Coordinate with

sales, production, purchase, and planning teams

to collect accurate job specifications. Prepare

competitive quotations

and pricing proposals while maintaining profit margins. Maintain and update

costing sheets, MIS reports, and rate cards

. Monitor

actual cost vs estimated cost

and analyze variances. Support negotiation with vendors and customers from a costing perspective. Ensure compliance with company pricing policies and approval processes. Assist management in

cost optimization and process improvement

initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

printing processes

(Offset / Flexo / Gravure / Digital). Good understanding of

packaging materials and structures

. Proficiency in

MS Excel

(formulas, cost sheets, analysis). Ability to interpret

job cards, BOQs, and technical specifications

. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Good communication and coordination abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in

Printing Technology

, Packaging Technology, or Mechanical Engineering. Relevant experience in

printing & packaging costing/estimation

is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

Experience in

carton, label, flexible packaging, or commercial printing

units. Exposure to

ERP systems

or costing software will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
