Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Costing & Estimation:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for new products, components, tooling, and machinery based on drawings, BOM, and customer requirements.

2. Cost Analysis & Variance Reporting:

Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs; compare planned vs. actual costs; identify variances; and present corrective action recommendations.

3. BOM & Routing Preparation:

Create and update Bill of Materials, process routing, cycle time, and resource requirements in coordination with production and design teams.

4. Supplier Cost Evaluation:

Coordinate with purchase/suppliers for RM cost, subcontracting charges, tooling cost, and negotiate competitive pricing for RFQs.

5. Process Optimization & Cost Reduction:

Work with production and quality teams to evaluate manufacturing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering field.

2-6 years of experience in costing, estimation, or manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly processes, and industrial standards.

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, CAD basics (added advantage).

Good analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
