Job Description

A costing engineer analyses and manages project costs to ensure projects stay within budget, collaborating with teams to create estimates, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Key duties include preparing detailed cost estimates, developing budgets, and monitoring financial performance throughout a project's lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g Mechanical, Industrial), or a related field is typically required.

Experience:

Proven experience in cost engineering, cost estimation, or a related project controls role, often a minimum of 0-1 years, depending on the seniority of the role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools (e.g., Huneety, SAP, Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling. Understanding of project management principles, techniques, and cost control methodologies like Earned Value Management (EVM). Ability to interpret technical designs, blueprints, and project specifications.
