We are seeking a highly accurate and detail-oriented Cost Estimation Engineer to handle project costing and budgeting for interior design and fit-out projects. The role requires preparing cost estimates, analyzing material and labor requirements, coordinating with vendors, and supporting the management team in tendering and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Calculate quantities of materials, manpower, and resources required for projects.
Collect and analyze quotations from vendors/subcontractors and prepare rate comparisons.
Prepare detailed cost sheets, rate analysis, and pricing for client proposals.
Work closely with design, procurement, and project teams for technical and commercial alignment.
Monitor and update material and labor costs to maintain an updated rate database.
Assist in tendering, bidding, and negotiation processes.
Support project managers in cost control, budgeting, and value engineering.
Ensure timely submission of estimates and adherence to company standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of estimation and costing in interior design, modular furniture, or fit-out industry.
Good understanding of materials, finishes, joinery, civil, electrical, and MEP works.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software/tools.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and vendor coordination skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Interior Design (or equivalent).
2-6 years of experience in cost estimation and project costing in the interior design / fit-out industry.
