Job Description

Job Purpose



To support the preparation, monitoring, and control of project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with approved financial plans for interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities



1. Budget Preparation & Management



Assist in preparing detailed project budgets based on BOQs, drawings, and scope of work. Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and design teams to ensure accurate budget allocation. Maintain records of budget revisions and approvals.

2. Cost Monitoring & Control



Track project expenditures against the approved budget. Maintain cost reports and highlight variances for corrective actions. Assist in forecasting final project costs and ensuring financial discipline.

3. Vendor & Procurement Coordination



Coordinate with the procurement team for vendor quotations and cost comparisons. Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and budget allocations before approval. Maintain cost data for materials, subcontractors, and services.

4. Reporting & Documentation



Prepare monthly cost control and budget status reports. Maintain a database of historical costs for future budgeting references. Assist in preparing financial reports for management and clients as required.

5. Compliance & Process Adherence



Ensure that all cost-related activities comply with company policies and project contractual terms. Support audits by providing cost and budget documentation.

Skills & Competencies



Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and financial tracking in construction/interior fit-out projects. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and ERP/Cost Management software. Analytical thinking and attention to detail. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualification & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Civil Engineering, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in cost control and budgeting, preferably in an interior fit-out or construction environment. Familiarity with BOQ preparation, material costing, and project budgeting processes.
