The primary role/function of the position of the Estimating Engineer is to prepare and/or review and endorse cost estimates of different levels of accuracy depending on the maturity of project definition during the various stages of the project life. These functions are related to the estimated cost of project activities in support of the Company's capital projects and programs. The role involves developing multidisciplinary conceptual and definitive cost estimates for oil and gas projects, which include Upstream facilities, such as gas plants, GOSPs, etc., and Downstream facilities such as petrochemical plants, refineries, cross-country pipelines, etc.

Role & Responsibilities

:

To gather Inputs/Data, Visualize and Analyse it in an effective manner

To review Design Packages, Project Drawings and other deliverables in-order facilitate the estimation process

Generating Techno-Commercial documentation & present to Management / Stake Holders

Should be able to understand and prepare SLDs, BOM (preferably both for LT & HT Switchgear Panels, Sub-stations / Outdoor units)

Floating Enquiries to Suppliers / Manufacturers.

Comparison Studies based on suppliers Quotations.

Negotiations with suppliers on both technical and commercial aspects of product.

Based on Clients budget constraints for any specific project, carrying out Value engineering studies.

Maintaining ISO documentation, Record Keeping, Suppliers/Manufacturers Data Bank records.

Delegating Draftsmen for quantity take offs, cross checking quantities.

Assisting in compiling of tenders.

Making Pre-Qualification documents, both standards as well project specific questionnaires.

Experience in Electrical contracting company preferred.
