The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost accounting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food processing industry. This role requires a strong understanding of cost drivers, variance analysis, and the ability to identify and implement cost optimization strategies.Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver accurate and timely MIS reports on inventory, production, sales, product yield, and overhead analysis.
Conduct in-depth cost analysis of raw materials, direct and indirect costs, and process efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
Prepare product cost estimates for new and existing products, and develop price quotes for customers.
Monitor process changes, assess their impact on cost structure, and develop strategies for cost optimization.
Perform margin and contribution analysis to identify profitable products, customers, and segments.
Manage inventory valuation and control, investigating discrepancies and identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, finance, and sales) to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Assist in budget preparation and financial planning, providing valuable cost insights.
Utilize ERP systems (Tally Prime preferred) for accurate cost tracking and financial reporting.
Track productivity performance against plans on a weekly and monthly basis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (MBA in Finance preferred). CMA (Inter) candidates will also be considered.
1-3 years of experience in cost accounting, MIS, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment (food processing experience highly preferred).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query).
Experience using ERP systems (Tally Prime or other industry-standard ERP) for cost tracking and reporting.
Proven ability to work with automated costing tools and dashboards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on cost control and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
