Responsibilities

Costing and Cost Analysis

Prepare and maintain product-wise costing, including raw material, labor, and overheads. Analyze variance between standard cost and actual cost and report deviations. Calculate and update Bill of Material (BOM) costs periodically. Prepare landed cost for imported materials and evaluate cost competitiveness for exports. Support in pricing of export quotations and domestic tenders with cost sheets.
Budgeting and Cost Control

Assist in preparation of annual budgets and monitor departmental expenditures. Implement and track cost control measures across production, logistics, and procurement. Prepare cost comparison reports for local vs imported materials.
Inventory Valuation and Control

Ensure correct valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods as per accounting standards. Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile discrepancies. Support physical inventory audits and coordinate with the stores and production team.
Export & Import Accounting

Prepare and analyze import cost sheets (including freight, customs duty, clearing, and insurance). Evaluate export profitability considering FOB/CIF pricing, freight, and export incentives. Liaise with logistics and customs teams for documentation and duty drawback calculations.
MIS and Reporting

Prepare monthly cost statements and profitability reports. Present cost trend analysis to management for decision-making. Ensure compliance with Cost Audit requirements, if applicable.
