Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Cost Accountant

who is a

qualified CMA

, with hands-on experience in

Product Costing, BOM (Bill of Materials), standard costing

, and cost control functions. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost accounting systems, analyzing manufacturing costs, and ensuring accurate costing processes for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

:

Product Costing

: Analyze and determine the actual cost of manufactured products. Monitor and update product costs regularly to reflect changes in raw materials, labor, and overheads. Ensure accuracy in cost allocation and variances.

Bill of Materials (BOM)

: Maintain and update BOMs in the system in coordination with production and engineering teams. Ensure that BOMs are accurate and reflect the actual manufacturing processes and material usage.

Cost Analysis & Control

: Analyze cost variances between standard and actual costs. Identify areas of cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes from a cost perspective.

Inventory Valuation & Control

: Assist in monthly and annual inventory valuation. Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile physical vs. system inventory.

Reporting & Compliance

: Prepare regular cost reports and dashboards for management. Ensure compliance with statutory and internal costing policies. Support internal and external audits with relevant costing data.

System & Process Improvements

: Support ERP cost module implementation and maintenance. Drive automation and improvements in costing processes and tools.

Key Skills & Competencies

:

Strong knowledge of

cost accounting principles

and

CMA standards

. Hands-on experience in

Product Costing, BOM, WIP accounting, and variance analysis

. Proficiency in

ERP systems

(e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, etc.). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
