Job Opportunity for Cost Accountant

Position: Cost Accountant

Location: Ludhiana

Industry: Engineering / Manufacturing / Automobile

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / ICWA / CMA

Experience: 5-6 Years in Costing / Accounts Department

Salary: ?50,000 - ?60,000 per month (Negotiable as per experience)

Preference: Candidates from Engineering Industry only

Role Overview:

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of cost accounting and cost analysis within the organization. The role involves maintaining cost records, analyzing cost data, and supporting management in effective decision-making for cost optimization and profitability improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, maintain, and analyze cost sheets and cost statements.

Monitor production costs, material consumption, and overhead expenses.

Ensure cost control and cost reduction through variance analysis and periodic reviews.

Support preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with cost objectives.

Conduct cost audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Evaluate product costing, pricing decisions, and profit margin analysis.

Coordinate with the Accounts, Production, and Procurement departments for accurate data collection.

Prepare monthly MIS reports, cost summaries, and management presentations.

Recommend measures for improving cost efficiency and resource utilization.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Strong understanding of cost accounting systems, processes, and principles.

Hands-on experience in cost analysis within a manufacturing or engineering setup.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally ERP, and preferably SAP or other ERP software.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills across departments.
