Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Control
Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
Ensure production targets are met as per sales and dispatch plans.
Optimize manpower, machinery, and raw material utilization.
Reduce production downtime and wastage.
2. Manufacturing Operations
Oversee manufacturing of cosmetics such as lotions, creams, shampoos, oils, soaps, serums, etc.
Ensure correct batch size, formulation, and process parameters.
Supervise mixing, filling, labeling, and packing operations.
Approve Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and production logs.
3. Quality & GMP Compliance
Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 22716, Schedule M-II, and internal SOPs.
Coordinate with Quality Control for in-process and final product checks.
Handle deviations, OOS, CAPA, and root cause analysis.
Maintain hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in production areas.
4. Team Management
Lead and train production supervisors, chemists, and operators.
Allocate duties and monitor performance of staff.
Ensure discipline, safety, and productivity of the workforce.
5. Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor consumption of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
Coordinate with stores and purchase departments.
Control production costs and minimize wastage and rework.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain production reports, BMRs, equipment logs, and SOPs.
Prepare daily and monthly production MIS reports.
Support audits by regulatory authorities and customers.
7. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
Ensure proper functioning and calibration of machinery.
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Recommend equipment upgrades or process improvements.
