Job Summary

Eternal Life Ayurveda Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Cosmetic Chemist with 1-2 years of hands-on experience in cosmetic and personal care formulation. The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and improving cosmetic and herbal formulations while ensuring quality, stability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Formulation & Product Development

Develop and optimize cosmetic and herbal formulations such as:

Face wash, shampoo, conditioner

Creams, lotions, gels, serums

Hair oils, face packs, masks, scrubs

Work with herbal and Ayurvedic ingredients in cosmetic products

Improve existing formulations for stability, texture, fragrance, and performance

Testing & Quality Control

Conduct stability testing, pH testing, and compatibility testing

Troubleshoot formulation issues like separation, viscosity change, color or odor variation

Maintain laboratory records, batch sheets, and formulation documents

Regulatory & Compliance

Ensure formulations comply with:

CDSCO Cosmetic Rules

AYUSH guidelines (where applicable)

BIS standards

Assist in label review, ingredient declaration, and documentation

Production & Scale-Up Support

Support pilot batch and commercial batch manufacturing

Coordinate with production and QC teams

Resolve formulation-related manufacturing issues

Raw Material Management

Evaluate and approve cosmetic raw materials

Maintain COA, MSDS, and specifications of raw materials

Coordinate with suppliers for samples and technical data

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B.Pharma, B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in cosmetic or personal care product formulation

Skills & Knowledge

Good knowledge of:

Emulsifiers, surfactants, preservatives, actives

Herbal extracts and cosmetic ingredients

pH adjustment and viscosity control

Familiarity with GMP and cosmetic documentation

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

Experience in Ayurvedic or herbal cosmetic formulations

Experience with third-party manufacturing support

Knowledge of stability studies and shelf-life assessment

Salary

As per company norms and candidate experience

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
