Department: Business Development / Corporate Alliances
Role Objective
To drive business growth by establishing strategic partnerships with universities, colleges, and higher education institutions. The role focuses on developing corporate tie-ups, managing education counsellor networks, and ensuring successful execution of the commission-based engagement model.
Key Responsibilities
1. University Tie-ups & Partnerships
Identify, approach, and finalize MoUs with universities, colleges, and educational boards for student recruitment, joint programs, or training initiatives.
Develop long-term partnerships with domestic and international universities for collaboration on admissions, exchange programs, or corporate training solutions.
Negotiate commercial terms, revenue-sharing models, and commission structures.
Coordinate with internal teams (legal, marketing, operations) for documentation and agreement closure.
2. Counsellor & Channel Management
Onboard, train, and manage a network of education counsellors and consultants under a commission-based system.
Develop incentive plans to improve counsellor engagement and conversion.
Track counsellor performance and ensure timely payouts aligned with student enrolment targets.
Build a feedback and communication mechanism between counsellors and university partners.
3. Sales & Revenue Generation
Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets through new partnerships and lead conversion.
Create strategies for lead generation, cross-promotion, and co-branded campaigns with university partners.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities in the education and training domain.
Develop business proposals and presentations for potential partners.
4. Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at universities, corporate sponsors, and counsellor networks.
Represent the organization at education fairs, webinars, corporate summits, and networking events.
Ensure consistent brand positioning and service delivery across all education alliances.
5. Reporting & MIS
Prepare periodic performance reports, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
Maintain CRM data on counsellor performance, partner engagement, and conversion metrics.
Provide market feedback and insights to the leadership for strategic planning.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of the higher education ecosystem (domestic & international).
Proven experience in B2B/B2C sales, channel development, or partnership management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with strong relationship-building ability.
Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and digital outreach methods.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Business Administration, Education Management, or related field.
5-10 years of experience in corporate sales, institutional partnerships, or education marketing.
Exposure to counsellor networks, overseas education consultancies, or edtech alliances preferred.
