The Corporate Relationship Manager - Sales will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing corporate client relationships by offering comprehensive insurance solutions. The role focuses on business development, renewals, cross-selling, and long-term relationship management across multiple lines of general insurance.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales
Identify and acquire new corporate clients across SME and mid-market segments
Generate business through direct meetings, references, and market networking
Understand client risk profiles and insurance requirements
Present tailored insurance solutions across:
Group Medical (GMC), GPA, GTL
Property, Engineering & Fire
Marine & Transit
Liability & Specialty lines
Achieve assigned premium and revenue targets
Client Relationship Management
Act as the single point of contact for assigned corporate accounts
Build long-term relationships with decision-makers (HR, Finance, Admin, CXOs)
Conduct regular review meetings and portfolio discussions
Ensure timely renewals, endorsements, and cross-sell opportunities
Coordination & Servicing
Work closely with underwriting, operations, and claims teams
Coordinate with insurers for quotations, negotiations, and special approvals
Ensure smooth policy placement, documentation, and post-sales servicing
Support clients during claims by coordinating with internal teams
Market & Insurer Engagement
Maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and underwriters
Stay updated on product developments, pricing trends, and market movements
Participate in insurer meetings, presentations, and joint client pitches
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and internal compliance standards
Maintain accurate MIS, pipeline reports, and client documentation
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of corporate insurance products and structures
Proven ability to close and manage corporate insurance accounts
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Relationship-driven with a consultative sales approach
Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
Qualifications
Graduate / Post-Graduate (preferably in Commerce, Finance, or Risk Management)
Insurance qualifications (III / AIII / Associate / Fellowship) - preferred
Prior experience in insurance broking or general insurance company is mandatory
