The Corporate Relations & Placement Officer will be responsible for building and nurturing strong industry relationships, driving campus recruitment activities, and ensuring successful placement and internship opportunities for students of the School of Engineering and the Business School. The role involves corporate engagement, branding the institution among employers, preparing students for the recruitment process, and ensuring effective career development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Engagement & Relationship Management
? Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with corporate organizations, industry leaders, and professional bodies.
? Regularly interact with HR leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers to understand hiring trends and requirements.
? Organize corporate connect programs such as guest lectures, conclaves, panel discussions, and networking events.
? Build alliances with industry associations for collaboration in placements, internships, and training.
Placement & Internship Facilitation
? Plan and execute campus recruitment drives for Engineering and Business School students.
? Coordinate summer internships, live projects, and final placements.
? Liaise with companies for scheduling interviews, managing recruitment processes, and ensuring smooth candidate selection.
? Track placement statistics and prepare periodic placement reports for management review.
Student Career Development
? Conduct employability enhancement programs including resume workshops, mock interviews, aptitude training, and group discussions.
? Mentor students on career choices, industry expectations, and job readiness.
? Facilitate pre-placement talks and industry exposure sessions.
? Identify skill gaps and coordinate with faculty/training partners to bridge them.
Branding & Outreach
? Promote the institution's brand and students' talent pool to corporate partners.
? Participate in job fairs, career expos, and industry forums.
? Develop marketing material and digital campaigns to showcase student achievements and placement success.
Qualifications & Experience
? Master's Degree in Management, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field.
? 3-7 years of relevant experience in corporate relations, campus recruitment, or career services (experience in Engineering & Management education preferred).
