We're seeking an experienced Corporate Purchase Manager with an engineering background to join our team at Cosmos, a leading CNC machine manufacturer in Vadodara. You'll lead our procurement function, leveraging technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing:Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital goods, Project related, components, and services.
- Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
- Contract Negotiation:Negotiate complex contracts with suppliers, focusing on price, terms, and conditions that benefit the company.
- Cost Optimization:Analyze market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement initiatives to reduce procurement costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams.
Requirements:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
- Experience:20+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in capital goods or manufacturing industry.
- Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of CNC machines, capital goods, and related components.
- Negotiation Skills:Proven negotiation experience and skills, with ability to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Leadership Skills:Ability to lead and manage procurement teams, drive strategic initiatives, and influence stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Industry Knowledge:Familiarity with capital goods, machine tools, and CNC machine manufacturing.
- Procurement Software:Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and tools.
- Analytical Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to drive data-driven decisions.
