About the Role

We are looking for a

Corporate Lawyer

with hands-on experience in

contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and dispute management

, preferably with exposure to the

insurance / financial services / regulatory ecosystem

.
The role requires close interaction with

clients, insurers, regulators, and internal teams

, and active involvement in structuring and negotiating legally robust commercial arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Surety Bond & Insurance-Related Work

Drafting, reviewing, and

negotiating Indemnity Agreements

relating to Surety Bonds. Conducting

commercial and legal discussions with clients

on indemnity obligations, risk allocation, and contractual liabilities. Coordinating with insurers, reinsurers, and internal teams to close documentation efficiently.

Corporate & Employment Matters

Drafting and reviewing

ESOPs, Shareholders' Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements

, and other employee incentive/stock-based reward structures. Advising on

employment-related legal issues

, including appointment letters, exits, disciplinary matters, and internal disputes. Supporting the CA practice on corporate law aspects linked to transactions and structuring.

Regulatory & Compliance

Handling

IRDAI compliances

applicable to insurance brokers, surety products, and allied activities. Advising on and implementing

legal compliances for MGAs (Managing General Agents)

. Monitoring regulatory updates and ensuring internal processes align with evolving legal requirements.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Assisting in

filing and managing civil cases

, including coordination with external counsels. Drafting notices, replies, pleadings, and other litigation documentation. Tracking case progress and advising management on legal risks and strategies.

General Legal Support

Providing legal support across commercial contracts, policies, and internal documentation. Participating in client calls, negotiations, and internal strategy discussions. Handling miscellaneous legal matters arising in the ordinary course of business.

Eligibility & Skill Requirements

Mandatory

LLB

from a recognized university.

3-4 years of post-qualification experience

in corporate law, insurance law, financial services, or regulatory practice. Strong drafting and negotiation skills. Practical exposure to

contracts and regulatory frameworks

.

Preferred

Experience with

insurance companies, brokers, fintechs, NBFCs, or law firms

handling financial services. Familiarity with

IRDAI regulations

and insurance documentation. Prior exposure to litigation or civil courts is an advantage.
