What is the Corporate Communications Analyst \xe2\x80\x93 Global Strategic Services & Executive Communications group responsible for?
Assist the global Corporate Communications team with gathering, formatting and distributing press mentions on a daily basis to executive distribution list, as well as producing quarterly, yearly and ad hoc reports and summaries on media coverage and global media program initiatives. Assist Sr. Corp Comm Analyst with creating metrics reports and summaries on a quarterly, yearly and ad hoc basis.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Corporate Communications Analyst?
Franklin Templeton Media Coverage:
Gather company and product media coverage for daily executive newsletter:
Conduct daily searches for media coverage using Google News, media monitoring vendor sites, paid subscription sites and alerts from various media outlets
Incorporate input from the PR team around the globe
Format and input media content into \xe2\x80\x9cIn The News\xe2\x80\x9d database
Email the incoming media coverage to appropriate Corporate Communications staff
Assist global PR team with uploading media coverage to department SharePoint sites.
Monitor for press coverage related to \xe2\x80\x98hot topics\xe2\x80\x99 and flag PR team as needed
Regularly audit and update our media monitoring sites with appropriate key search terms (Dow Jones Factiva, Signal, Onclusive, etc.)
Tracking & Analytics:
Create and update large media synopses and press centers (MS Word & Excel)
Create and update multiple department trackers (SharePoint, Excel)
Track multiple PR initiatives in \xe2\x80\x9cIn The News\xe2\x80\x9d database (MS SharePoint)
Metrics Reporting:
Audit and optimize data preprocessing query sets on Power Query
Produce quarterly, yearly and ad hoc reports on media coverage (MS PowerPoint, Power BI dashboard)
Produce metrics data upon request
Compile blog report for Social Media team upon request (MS Excel)
General Admin/Additional Assistance to Global Corporate Communications team:
Format \xe2\x80\x9cAir Time\xe2\x80\x9d announcements for TV & Web appearances for global PR team
Update TV & Web Appearances page on Passport with upcoming TV appearance information
Create internal process documents.
Update department distribution lists
Compile biweekly media synopsis for the board of directors (MS Word)
Attend company and department meetings.
Organize and conduct biweekly team meetings.
Assist global team various on ad hoc requests.
Additional Assistance for Corp Comm-APAC team:
Track APAC team budget

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful?
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree and 1+ years work experience in financial services industry
Master of Business Administration and 2-3 years of experience in financial services industry
Basic understanding of the financial services industry. Prior experience in the industry a plus.
Knowledge of online searching techniques and search engines.
Experience working with news aggregators, online databases, social media, RSS and other Internet-based information tools and applications.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Experience / basic knowledge of Power Query and Power BI is preferred.
Experience working with a global workforce.
Detail oriented.
Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English, both verbal and writing.
Good analytical skills
Ability to work both as a part of a global team and independently without close supervision.
Ability to learn fast and adapt to change.
